A lifelong friend. A friend for 52 years. I have often told my kids that as you go through life, by the time you've reached the 40th or 50th year of your time here on Earth, you will be fortunate if you can count your truly best friends on one hand. I feel extremely blessed, and extremely proud to have had Richard as one of those friends. Life leads us along many pathways and corridors, brings us in contact with many people along the way, but very few of those people remain in touch throughout our lives, and even fewer can we call our best friends. Richard will always be a part of my life. He will always be a part of me. Rest in peace my best friend. I love you. Your friend, Paul
For the 21+ years that we have known your family one thing that has always stood out is the close and loving relationship you have to one another. What a wonderful gift and legacy RJ has left, and one day you will all be together once more.
There is a place in my heart that is, and always will be filled with love for and from the Jaramillos. I remember going over to their house and into RJ's office where he had all of his baseball's and other things that I thought were amazing. He became the baseball guy to me. Then little league started, and all of a sudden, TH became a different person to me. He became my coach, my friend's dad (love ya Tobin), and a hero that follows second only to my father. I know that it has been a long time since I last saw him, but RJ will forever be remembered as a selfless person to his friends, and a man that I respect and admire.
